Transdisciplinary AI Solutions for Supply Chain, Logistics, and Scheduling

TAIS.ai

About

Our Story

TAIS.ai was born from a simple but powerful realization: Many of the best supply chain theories stay stuck in academic papers, while real businesses still rely on intuition and outdated tools.

This insight deeply resonated with Dr. Michel FATHI and Dr. Marzieh Khakifirooz, two lifelong research partners. Rooted in their extensive work and inspired by the transformative potential of the Theory of Constraints (TOC), they envisioned a powerful bridge: an AI agent capable of thinking like a seasoned expert, combining scientific precision with the speed of code.
This vision materialized into TAIS: Theory of AI-driven Scheduling. Developed in collaboration with Professor Alexandre Dolgui.

The moment their research went public, the response was immediate and clear. Industry partners began reaching out, eager to implement the framework. This defining interest propelled Dr. Marzieh Khakifirooz to take a bold leap, leaving her academic post to co-found TAIS.ai.

Today, that vision is a reality. Our first product, an AI agent that operationalizes TOC for intelligent, real-time scheduling, is now in pilot testing, actively transforming how operations are planned, optimized, and managed.

Our mission quickly expanded to tackle another critical challenge: supply chain resilience. Guided by Professor Dmitry Ivanov, we are developing a second innovative framework, leading to a new TAIS.ai product: a scenario-based stress-testing tool. This tool empowers organizations to measure and strengthen their supply chain resilience, with an educational version already helping practitioners build more robust operations.

At TAIS.ai, we’re not just building tools; we’re empowering a new generation of industry leaders. Our philosophy is to foster sustainable capability, not dependency. We teach organizations to ask the right questions, uncover root causes, and solve complex challenges with confidence. This commitment is exemplified in our forthcoming “Handbook of AI-Driven Scheduling”—a practical toolkit co-authored by Michel FATHI, Marzieh Khakifirooz, Alexandre Dolgui, and Panos Pardalos.

TAIS.ai stands as living proof: research is the engine of innovation, and AI is its powerful enabler. We translate world-class theory into scalable, intelligent systems, empowering industry to evolve—resiliently, sustainably, and intelligently.
